The End of an Era

Montenegro’s president and prime minister, Jakov Milatovic and Milojko Spajic, the founders of the ruling Europe Now! movement, have definitively parted ways at the end of February after months of political friction. Milatovic, until recently the movement’s vice-president, resigned from all party functions, but has not yet signaled the forming of a party of his own. The split between the president and the prime minister has the potential to produce profound changes in Montenegro's political landscape.
