Serbia – China Free Trade Deal: Much Ado about Nothing

As of July 1, the preferential trade agreement between Serbia and the Republic of China became operational. The Serbian authorities presented this agreement as a great chance for the Serbian economy, but also as proof of good political relations between Serbia and China. The economic effects, however, are likely to be negligible.
