Kosovo Assembly (BETAPHOTO/ARMENIJA ZAJMI BESEVIC)
The ruling Self-Determination Movement led by Prime Minister Albin Kurti scored a decisive win in the Dec. 28 elections for the Parliament of Kosovo, but this didn’t resolve the political crisis in Kosovo. Although Kurti’s party holds a comfortable majority with the parties representing ethnic minorities, elections for Kosovo’s president might foil the formation of a new cabinet. If a president is not elected by March 6, a snap parliamentary vote will have to be called.
