While the opposition-oriented public is debating daily on the format of participation in the general election to be held in the near future, last week also brought new friction in the relationship between the two biggest parties in the ruling coalition – the Serbian Progressive Party and the Socialist Party of Serbia. That has often been the case in the past ahead of or after elections, when the ruling coalition leader Aleksandar Vucic aims to discipline coalition partners or lower their rating and “knock down their price” in negotiations.
