The period after the presidential, parliamentary and elections for the Belgrade Assembly has been marked by a shift in the rhetoric of head of state and Serbian Progressive Party leader Aleksandar Vucic regarding the opposition and by hints of a different foreign policy of the authorities. The key event in those 10 days was an unexpected meeting between Vucic and opposition leader Dragan Djilas, which may be interpreted as a first step toward decreasing tensions in the society, even though both were guided by other motives.
