A New Blow to the Dialogue

Last week’s decisions of the Kosovo government regarding ID cards and license plates, made on the day when EU special representative Miroslav Lajcak arrived in Belgrade from Pristina, have yet again put a serious strain on relations between the two sides. Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic responded more fiercely than ever before, primarily to the West, accusing Pristina of planning an all-out attack on the north of Kosovo by Oct. 1 and claiming that it had the Quint countries’ support in the matter.
