The calling of snap elections for the Serbian parliament and the Belgrade Assembly has often been mentioned as a possibility in the Serbian public sphere over the past few weeks. Although it seems more likely at this time that voters will take to polling stations in the spring of next year, when regular local elections are due nationwide, the possibility of that happening already in the fall or winter should not be ruled out. The only thing that is certain is that Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic will basically be the one making that decision, and his calculations are not easy to predict.
