The U.S.’ decision to impose sanctions against the director of the Security and Information Agency, Aleksandar Vulin, is the most serious warning so far to Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic. Although Vucic tried to play down the importance of that decision, he will certainly have to change his policy if he wants to avoid degrading relations with the U.S. That includes dismissing Vulin from the position of intelligence agency chief, but Vucic will not make that move right away so as not to show weakness.
