Bosnian Presidency Visits Brussels: EC Questionnaire, New Gov't Critical for Bosnia
The adoption of the Program of Reform of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the sending of that document to the NATO headquarters in Brussels has caused a veritable “political earthquake” in Republika Srpska (RS), the Serb entity in Bosnia. Milorad Dodik, a member of the Bosnian Presidency from RS and the leading political figure in the Serb entity, had come under strong fire from the opposition, which accused him of forging the document and that, owing to this, the RS Assembly had actually adopted the Annual National Program (ANP), thereby paving the way for Bosnia’s joining NATO. The authorities in Belgrade failed to support the opposition, which indicates that Serbia will not contest Dodik’s decisions.
