Over the past several days all eyes were not only on Milan Radoicic, the leader of an armed group that clashed with the Kosovo Police in the village of Banjska on Sept. 24, but also on Goran Petronijevic, his lawyer. Petronijevic, a vice-president of the right-wing Movement for Serbia and a former judge, has already gained prominence as a defence attorney of Radovan Karadzic and Veselin Sljivancanin before the Hague-based International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY). What also made him well-known in the legal profession was that he had sentenced more than 140 Kosovo Albanians to 1,600 years in prison.
