After June 3 Serbia will no longer have a legal parliament or a legal government, the opposition Overturn Movement leader, Janko Veselinovic, has warned, adding that the National Assembly's term expires on June 3, as it was inaugurated on the same day four years ago.

"The situation is nearly identical when it comes to the Government of Serbia, because Article 128 of the Constitution prescribes that the term in office of a cabinet expires together with the term in office of the parliament that inaugurated it," said Veselinovic, one of the founders of the Alliance for Serbia.

The opposition leader explained that the two terms in office expired on the same date - June 3, 2020. "Under the Constitution, it is no longer a cabinet whose term has expired, but rather a cabinet that doesn't exist," Veselinovic underlined.

"As of today, Serbia is officially an autocratic society in which power is concentrated in the hands of one man. Everyone introducing themselves as members of the parliament or of the government will be identifying them falsely as of June 3. There will be no difference between them and any other citizen of Serbia," Veselinovic was explicit, adding that as of that date "Aleksandar Vucic's regime will be responsible for an ever deeper crisis."
