The Serbian government on July 7 imposed a 14-day quarantine for all Montenegrin nationals entering Serbia, while in Montenegro, quarantine has been mandatory for travelers coming from Serbia since July 6.
The decision on mandatory self-isolation was passed based on the current epidemiological situation in the region, according to a release from the government.
“All Montenegrin nationals entering Serbia are subject to a mandatory 14-day self-quarantine. Upon arrival, these individuals are required to report the address where they will reside the following two weeks so that relevant authorities can make checks,” it is said in the Decision.
The Serbian government also said it would continue to follow with utmost attention the coronavirus related epidemiological situation in the country and the region. “We once again appeal to all citizens to abide by the COVID-19 health protocols and be responsible toward themselves and the others,” it is said in the statement.
On July 6, the Montenegrin National Coordination Body for Communicable Diseases said that all travelers from Serbia would face state quarantine immediately upon arrival.
