Serbian Dveri Movement leader Bosko Obradovic told TV N1 on July 14 that a decreasing number of protesters was only “the calm before the storm,” adding he was convinced that protests could not stop.
“All our differences should be put aside until Serbia again becomes a free and democratic country. Until then, it is vital to achieve unity on all important and concrete political demands,” he said.
“Protests, although they should be peaceful and non-violent, neither must be non-active or breathless. In combating the undemocratic regime any sort of democratic resistance is allowed: protests, demonstration, civil disobedience, and blockades of roads and state institutions,” Obradovic specified.
The Dveri leader added he supported any form of blockade of the state institutions not doing their job, particularly the Constitutional Court and the Administrative Court, which “have literally suspended their respective jurisdictions.” He added that pro-regime media outlets had been constantly launching false news on conflicts between the protesters and opposition leaders.
