Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic and the Russian ambassador to Serbia, Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko, said on July 29 that the two states were committed to the development of their political relations based on a strategic partnership, and were pleased with the high level of bilateral ties, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.
Minister Dacic said that "a successful and substantial visit to Belgrade by Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov was a very good opportunity to discuss a large number of major issues arising from bilateral relations, and also to exchange opinions about current international and regional affairs." The Serbian minister also thanked Russia "for timely assistance in fighting the Covid-19 pandemic."
The minister and the ambassador exchanged opinions about new moves to curb the spread of coronavirus, discussing also new forms of cooperation to alleviate the consequences of the pandemic.
