Nine people died of the coronavirus in Serbia in the past 24 hours, Prime Minister Ana Brnabic announced during the news conference of the Serbian government's Crisis Headquarters for suppressing the epidemic.

During that period, 9,858 people were tested and the virus was detected in 295 of them. There are 132 patients on ventilators, out of 287 people who are being treated in hospital.

"The reality is that percentages are steady and slowly declining, and that pressure on our health system is continuing to diminish," Brnabic said.

Ste stated that, during autumn and winter, when the new wave of the epidemic is expected, Serbia would be prepared better than it was when the epidemic started, and announced the opening of nine new laboratories for PCR-testing for the coronavirus.
