Kosovo Premier Avdullah Hoti has announced that a Sept. 7 meeting with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic in Brussels would be focus on a final agreement on mutual recognition and the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia.
Based on the obligations that we undertook at the Paris Summit on July 10, 2020, and the support we have received from French President Emmanuel Marcon and German Chancellor Angela Merkel, we will meet in Brussels with the Serbian side on Sept. 7 for the purpose of conducting dialog on a final agreement on mutual recognition and normalizing relations between Kosovo and Serbia, he wrote on Facebook.
According to Hoti, there will not be any separate agreement on specific issues, only an agreement on mutual recognition. He added that there would only be a final overarching agreement on mutual recognition, which would include all issues that need to be resolved between two independent states based on conventions, standards and international practices for regulating relations between two independent states.
