Serbia, Albania and North Macedonia signed on Nov. 9 a memorandum of understanding and cooperation in the region's fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
The memorandum was signed at a Mini Schengen online conference, attended by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, and the Albanian and North Macedonian prime ministers, Edi Rama and Zoran Zaev.
The virtual summit was also attended by the Serbian PM, Ana Brnabic, and the three states' ministers of health. North Macedonia's prime minister hosted the live-streamed signing of a bilateral Albanian-Serbian agreement allowing for free movement of citizens using their ID cards only.
The document was signed by the Albanian and Serbian prime ministers, Edi Rama and Ana Brnabic.
President Vucic said that the memorandum was important not only because of this or any other pandemic in the future, and cooperation in a new crisis, but also because it's important to create additional closeness between the three states.
