Serbian Speaker Ivica Dacic said on Dec. 2 that after a debate on the state budget which will take place next week, he will get in touch with European Parliament (EP) representatives concerning the dialogue that should be organized between the government and the opposition.
“We have to resolve certain issues, [such as] what will be the format of the talks,” Dacic told the Happy TV adding that he as the Speaker and European Parliament representatives will co-chair the dialogue.
Dacic also said that he has to see who will represent the EP, who will be invited to participate since some parties are now outside the parliament, and what will be the topics. “What we will certainly not talk about is the forming of a transitional government,” Dacic said.
He added that previously his predecessor, Maja Gojkovic, and David McAllister, as an EP representative, “had exchanged letters” on the matter, and that he will therefore get in touch with McAllister first.
