Serbian European Integration Minister Jadranka Joksimovic said on March 18 that she expects that “a solution will be found” to COVID-19 certificates that would allow Serbian citizens to travel outside their country.
Jakosimovic told the RTS public service that the “digital green certificate” is first and foremost intended for the EU citizens, which is why it was insisted on the vaccines approved by the European Medicines Agency (EMA).
“In an agreement with the World Health Organization, the European Commission and the EU have announced that they will find a model to harmonize the certificates, or to have [different] certificates be acceptable,” Joksimovic said.
When asked if that means that the Serbian citizens who received the Russian or Chinese vaccines could travel too, the minister responded that she expects a solution to the certificates “to be found.”
