Novi Sad (BETAPHOTO/DRAGAN GOJIC)
In the night between Aug. 11 and 12, citizens of Novi Sad’s neighborhood of Liman recorded a group of young men writing hate-motivated graffiti on the facades, on which abusive messages had been painted over the previous day.
A photo shared on Viber group called Zbor Liman, shows walls covered with messages “Blockers, you Uustashe (Croatian fascist movement), we won’t give you the tricolor (Serbian) flag,” and “Liman won’t give away sanctities, stop satanic sects.”
A video made by a Liman resident shows a group of young men writing graffiti, while several other men, possibly young adults, were filming them with their mobile phones, probably to document that “the job has beens done.”
This represents continuation of the daily “graffiti war” in Liman, which has been going on since the local residents decided to paint over hate-motivated and abusive messages, which had been written on the walls in their neighborhood over the past months and years.
