According to the agreement to mutually recognize vaccination certificates reached between the Serbian and Turkish foreign ministers, the citizens of both countries will be able to freely travel to and from Serbia and Turkey as of May 14.
The agreement was reached during a telephone conversation between the foreign affairs ministers of Serbia and Turkey, Nikola Selakovic and Melvut Cavusolgu respectively, confirmed the Serbian government following the Foreign Ministry’s official statement.
The citizens of the two countries will be allowed to enter the other country’s territory without PCR tests and mandatory quarantine providing they have vaccination certificates issued by competent institutions in Serbia, i.e. Turkey.
According to the agreement, minors, i.e. persons who could not get vaccinated due to their age, can only enter the other country without a valid PCR test and mandatory quarantine if they are accompanied by family members with valid vaccination certificates.
A similar travel mode between Serbia and North Macedonia has been in effect since April 30.
