Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic stated on Aug. 3 that the date of holding of elections was a constitutional and legal category and not a subject of any kind of agreement.

Commenting on media speculation about the date of holding of the forthcoming elections, Vucic told reporters in Belgrade that he had "not said a single word about it."

"The date of holding of elections is a constitutional and legal category, and not the subject of decisions of foreigners, tycoon political parties or any kind of agreement," the Serbian president said.

Elections in Serbia will most probably be held simultaneously at all levels, between March 20 and April 3 next year, the Blic daily learned from unofficial sources and reported about in its Aug. 3 issue. The paper reported that this was stated at the tenth round of the inter-party dialogue on Aug. 2, which Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic attended.
