The leader of the Liberal Democratic Party, Cedomir Jovanovic, assessed on March 9 that the announced protest procession in Belgrade in support of Russia, was a disgrace for Belgrade and for the whole of Serbia.

He posted on Facebook the crossed-out photo of the invitation to the rally, announced for March 13 at 4:00 p.m., at the parking lot near the Sava Center. He assessed that the letter "Z," the marking on the Russian tanks "before which millions of Ukrainians are fleeing, and whose tracks trample over entire cities, is not and shall not be a symbol with which Belgrade and Serbia identify."

"Those who love Russians and Russia – let them pray and fight for peace in Ukraine, let them help stop the war in which Russian youth is dying, too, let them help us stop the Russian columns before Kharkov, Odessa and Kiev," he said, adding that only by condemning the Russian attack on Ukraine are both Kiev and Moscow defended.

"Only by condemning the symbol that is brought to us from the Russian tanks in Ukraine to the streets of Belgrade, do we protect Serbia and our peace, as well as the peace of the unfortunate Ukraine and the fallen Russia," Jovanovic pointed out.
