The chief of staff of the Serbian Armed Forces, Gen. Milan Mojsilovic, has announced that more than 300 pieces of combat equipment will be engaged in a presentation of some of the army's capabilities at the Batajnica airfield on April 30, including the FK-3 anti-aircraft system recently delivered from China.
In Mojsilovic's words, all types of aircraft that are part of the Serbian Armed Forces will be involved in the dynamic portion of the presentation called SHIELD 2022.
"In the static part, more than 300 pieces of combat equipment will be showcased, specifically equipment that is already part of the Serbian Armed Forces' armaments, as well as some of the equipment that is in development. In the dynamic part, we will demonstrate some of the capabilities of the Serbian army through 10 scenarios, including a helicopter landing, a flypast and a demonstrative jump of members of the 63rd Parachute Brigade," Mojsilovic told public service RTS.
He added that the "star" of the demonstration will be the FK-3 anti-aircraft system.
"It is a medium-range system that will serve [the purpose of] anti-aircraft defense of the territory. In that way, Serbia's airspace will be completely secured in peacetime," said the army chief of staff.
The presentation at the Colonel Pilot Milenko Pavlovic Air Base will kick off at 11 a.m. and will involve more than 1,000 members of the Ministry of Defense and Serbian Armed Forces, as well as 40 aircraft. Interested citizens will be able to see armaments at the airfield, as well as equipment that is still in the development stage.
