The Alliance of Independent Social Democrats has called on citizens of Republika Srpska (RS) to gather in several places along the Inter-Entity Boundary Line in Bosnia and Herzegovina on Sept. 1, to protest the indictment the Bosnia and Herzegovina Prosecutor's Office has raised against RS President Milorad Dodik.

Radovan Kovacevic, spokesman of the Dodik-led party, said that citizens would gather at the Inter-Entity Boundary Line in Doboj, East Sarajevo, Lopare, and Nevesinje on Sept. 1, and would stop traffic.

"According to the Constitution, President Dodik expresses state unity and represents all of us. An attack on the president of Republika Srpska is an attack on all of us. No one will put Republika Srpska on trial and that should be clear to everyone. We want to show that the border (between two entities) exists," said Kovacevic.

Chairman of the Committee for the Protection of Rights of Serbs in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Djordje Radanovic has also called on RS citizens to "peacefully stop traffic at the very boundary (between the two entities) for half an hour" on Sept. 1.

Interior Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Ramo Isak has said that the entity's police will prevent rallies and traffic blockades on the line separating the two entities.
