The Ecological Uprising announced on Sept. 6 that its members had made a unanimous decision to leave the Together party and the We Must-Together parliamentary caucus.
According to the announcement, the main reasons for leaving the Together party was violation of the statute and high-jacking the Environmental Uprising’s Facebook page. “Without any notice and without the agreement of the party’s co-president, Aleksandar Jovanovic Cuta, Nebojsa Zelenovic and Biljana Stojkovic signed the agreement of cooperation with the Democratic Party and the Serbia Center party (SRCE), which is in violation of the party’s statute,” the statement reads.
MP Danijela Nestorovic has stated that the Together party violated the statute by signing the agreement with the Democratic Party, SRCE and the Romanian Party without notifying co-president Jovanovic. “Jovanovic (Cuta) has not been notified about the forming of that alliance, or invited to the signing of the agreement. The party’s statute regulates that decisions can only be made unanimously – by all three co-presidents agreeing,” Nestorovic stated.
