Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Sept. 11 that he “has no idea” what to expect from a new round of the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue in Brussels, but he was confident that would be another difficult meeting, “since not a single one was easy.”
“We do not talk with (Kosovo Prime Minister) Kurti there, but rather Brussels representatives, and you always know that whatever they say, they support the independence of Kosovo, one way or another,” Vucic said to reporters after a meeting within the Brdo-Brioni conference in Skopje.
The next meeting between Belgrade and Pristina delegations has been scheduled for Sept. 14, and Vucic said that he would insist on the security of Serbs living in Kosovo, and that he would talk about the Serbs still in police custody.
When asked to comment on a Sept. 11 statement by Croatian Foreign Minister Gordan Grlic-Radman, who during a visit to Sofia said that Serbia should condemn Russia’s aggression against Ukraine and introduce sanctions against Moscow, Vucic said that Croatian and Bulgarian officials should focus on problems at home, instead of Serbian sanctions against Russia.
