Vucic Discusses Economic Cooperation with Italian Minister

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met in Belgrade on Sept. 13 with Italian Minister for Enterprises and Made in Italy Adolfo Urso. The main subject of the discussion was the two countries’ economic cooperation.

Vucic said during the meeting and Serbia and Italy had a long tradition of friendly relations and that constructive and diverse cooperation and bilateral dialogue were constantly being advanced and intensified, stated the Serbian president’s office. He said that, thanks to a dynamic and intensive economic cooperation, Italy has been one of Serbia’s biggest economic partners for years now, adding that he was “particularly pleased” with the fact that Serbia was Italy’s biggest trade partner in the Western Balkans, the statement reads.

Vucic said he was convinced that new Italian investments would be realized in Serbia soon, while Urso corroborated the Italian companies’ “great interest” in investing in Serbia, the president’s office stated in the release.
