Danilo Orlandic, the former director of Airports of Montenegro, told the Sept. 27 edition of the Pobjeda daily that the equipment belonging to Dubrovnik Airport which outgoing Prime Minister Dritan Abazovic “shockingly discovered” on Sept. 26 was inventoried and discussed with Croatia long ago.

“When I was director of Airports of Montenegro, I was in contact with my Croatian colleagues and they confirmed that they were notified of everything a long time ago. They told us that they procured new equipment and that they didn’t need the equipment [found in Montenegro],” Orlandic explained.

Abazovic announced on Sept. 26 that an inventory of Airports of Montenegro property revealed equipment believed to have been stolen from Dubrovnik during the siege of 1991-92.
