European election observers Stefan Schennach and Andreas Schieder were “lying” and destabilizing Serbia with their statements, although they made no objections to the statements of votes at polling places, Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said on Dec, 22.

“They were the observers who led the observation delegations of the European Parliament and the Council of Europe (CoE). What they have been doing later on, all their media appearances, it is all against the code of conduct for international election observers,” Brnabic told TV Pink.

Brnabic also said that both of them were present at the polling stations of their own choosing and made no objections. But later on, in interviews with opposition media outlets, they “have been for days lying, torturing and destabilizing Serbia,” by saying they had seen “phantom voters and 50,000 people being brought to Belgrade to cast ballots.”

Brnabic also said that these elections saw a fewer number of election objections addressed to the Republic Electoral Commission than in the 2022 vote, noting that it was due to the fact that “the opposition had nothing to complain about, so they have decided to call for elections to be annulled, just like that.”
