In the night between Jan. 18 and 19, a new group of 52 workers of the Magna factory in Aleksinac sought urgent medical treatment due to poisoning, head of the Aleksinac Emergency Clinic Nenad Markovic told BETA.
"Out of the total number of workers who came to us, we sent five to the internal medicine ward of the Aleksinac hospital, and one of them was transported to the toxicology ward at the Nis Clinical Center," said Markovic.
Due to the poisoning of 104 workers of the second shift in the afternoon on Jan. 17, Magna was closed until the evening of Jan. 18.
Production restarted in the third shift, after police had completed an investigation at the order of the Aleksinac Basic Public Prosecutor's Office.
