Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic discussed a recent special U.N. Security Council session on Kosovo and current global events with U.N. Secretary General Antonio Guterres in New York on Feb. 9.

Along with a photo of the meeting, Vucic posted on Instagram that Guterres and he had a cordial encounter and summarized the main takeaways from the session. "Summarizing the main messages of yesterday's session, and the importance of the open debate on the burning issues of the safety and survival of the Serb people in Kosovo and Metohija," the Serbian president wrote.

In a statement to Pink TV on the European Parliament's resolution on irregularities in the December 2023 elections in Serbia, Vucic said the disgrace of the opposition parties that reported them would "remain everlasting" because they "are working against their own country" and were "trying to seize power as puppets of the foreign element."
