Incumbent foreign minister and leader of the Socialist Party of Serbia Ivica Dacic said on April 1 that his party, the Progressive Party of Serbia and the Oath Keepers party have agreed to run on a single ticket in the upcoming local Belgrade elections, which have yet to be called.
Speaking for Pink TV, Dacic explained that the alliance would join the Aleksandar Vucic – Belgrade Must Not Stop ticket with the coalition led by the Socialists and Milica Djurdjevic Stamenkovski’s Oath Keepers, who previously ran with the Dveri movement.
Asked whether the Socialists will be included in the new Cabinet, for which Progressives leader Milos Vucevic has been nominated as prime minister designate, Dacic responded that his party’s inclusion is “unquestionable.”
The outgoing minister did say that no specific agreements have yet been made regarding which ministries the Socialists will be assigned.
