Late on May 12, Belgrade’s Electoral Commission announced that three more tickets, put forth by ethnic minorities, have registered for the capital’s June 2 local election, bringing the total number of approved voting options up to 11.
The three tickets in question were submitted by the Snaga (Strength) coalition, comprising Bosniak, Romanian, Montenegrin and Greek parties and movements, followed by the Roma Union of Serbia and Usame Zukorlic’s Justice and Reconciliation Party.
The previously registered tickets include that entered by the coalition led by the Serbian Progressive Party, followed by the tickets submitted by Russian Party, the citizens’ association titled Cale, Ovo je za Tebe (This is for You, Dad), the citizens’ association led by Dejan Zujovic, and the One of Five Million movement.
The Electoral Commission has also already announced the We Choose Belgrade ticket, the We – The Strength of the People ticket, and The People’s Ticket – the Key to Winning.
The submissions by the Get Going for Change movement, the We – The Voice of the People movement and the Enough party will be decided on by the end of the day on May 13, which means that the total number of voting options could ultimately be 14.
The deadline for entering tickets for the Belgrade vote ended at midnight on May 12.
