Party of Freedom and Justice leader Dragan Djilas has said that the Serbian opposition served as “a mere decoration” to the international community which, according to him, supports President Aleksandar Vucic and is expecting him to recognize Kosovo as an independent state.

“While awaiting the recognition of Kosovo, the international community has been turning a blind eye to all violations of human rights, absolute control of media, ruination of everyone with a different opinion, and also to the fact that Serbia’s EU integration has been stalled,” Djilas has told Belgrade daily Danas.

He stressed that the people “will win their freedom on their own as many times before in Serbia’s history, and once we win our freedom, we will know that it ours only and that we owe nothing to anyone.”
