Serbian Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic denied on Sept. 18 that GIM Company dealing in arms exports, is owned and represented by his father, Branko Stefanovic.

When asked about the documents published by the Arms Watch portal which link GIM and the export of weapons to Saudi Arabia that end up in Yemen, the minister said they are „only a piece of paper meaning nothing.“

Commenting on the portal, he said he would not call it „international,“ but a portal „followed by some hundred people.“

Stefanovic added that Serbia exports arms only to countries whose status is checked and is is not exporting weapons to Yemen.

The Arms Watch portal reported earlier that mortar shells produced in the Krusik factory from Valjevo, through GIM and U.S. companies reach Saudi Arabia, wherefrom they find way to terrorist groups in Yemen.

The portal claimed that the minister's father, Branko Stefanovic, was involved in this trade.

After the documents were published, the website reported on its Twitter account that it is are under constant hacker attacks from Serbia, making their content inaccessible.
