Kosovo President Hashim Thaci and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said in Tokyo, on Oct. 21, that bilateral relations were good, while Abe added that he was happy with the stepped up cooperation and the degree of support.

The PM of Japan listed the opening of a Japanese embassy in Pristina, a successful business summit and next month's Japanese culture week as confirmation of closer ties.

Thaci also voiced satisfaction with Kosovo-Japan relations.

The opening of an embassy for Japan in Pristina early next year and the successful summit of businesses from Kosovo, Japan and Austria in Vienna early this month are just more proof of progress, Thaci said.
