A citizen survey, conducted by the Center for Free Elections and Democracy (CeSID), shows that 60 percent of the respondents live as they did three years ago, 21 percent think that their living standard has dropped and 17 percent that it has improved, while two percent of the surveyed was unable to say whether their quality of life has improved or dropped.

The results of the survey, which CeSiD had carried within program titled “Swiss PRO” in 50 towns and municipalities in central Serbia, were presented in Nis on Oct. 22.  It was noted that this was CeSID’s fifth survey to determine citizen’s satisfaction with the quality of life in their respective local communities and services of local administrations.

CeSID representative Ivo Colovic said that the first survey was conducted in 2010, noting that this year’s poll showed somewhat higher citizens’ satisfaction with the quality of life and the work of municipal and town administrations and services.
