Grundfos
Danish pump manufacturer Grundfos opened a new production plant in Indjija on Sept. 28, following an investment of EUR20 million.
The factory will produce circulator pumps, domestic wastewater pumps, pressure boosting systems, and integrated hydraulic circuits for boilers. All products will be exported. The construction of the plant, spanning 17,000 square meters, began in July 2021 and will employ several hundred people.
The factory will have “gold environmental certification,” which evidences that it is fully independent energy wise and recycles wastewaters 100 percent. The opening ceremony was attended by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, Head of the Vojvodina Government Igor Mirovic, Economy Minister Andjelka Atanaskovic, and Danish Ambassador to Serbia Susanne Shine.
Grundfos invested EUR50 million in its first plant in Indjija, which opened in 2013. It spans 26,000 square meters and employs more than 800 workers. The Danish company in Indjija makes more than four million pumps, accounting for more than 20 percent of Grundfos Group’s output. It is also one of Serbia’s biggest exporters.
