Doctor Branislav Nestorovic, a member of the government crisis camp for containing COVID-19, which was put together by the Serbian cabinet in March 2020, is undoubtedly the most “colorful” figure in the lineup of experts charged with fighting the pandemic in Serbia.

He became known to the wider public for his astonishing stances on the coronavirus which he voiced at the end of February 2020. “I can’t believe that a people that has survived sanctions, bombardment, all kinds of harassment, is scared of the funniest virus in the history of mankind which exists on Facebook,” he said at a news conference attended by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.
