Kosovo’s new president, Vjosa Osmani-Sadriu, was elected to the position on Apr. 4 owing to the support of Kosovo’s strongest political party – the Albin Kurti-led Self-Determination Movement. Osmani, a long-time member of the Democratic Alliance of Kosovo, who left the party after tensions in September last year, was elected in the third round of a vote for Kosovo president, receiving the support of 71 out of 120 delegates, plus 11 invalid votes.
