Test Covid-19 (BETAPHOTO/HINA/DAMIR SENCAR/MO)
16 people died from the consequences of the coronavirus infection in Serbia in the past 24 hours and there were 4,056 newly infected, the Health Ministry has announced.
There are 161 people on ventilators among the 4,072 covid-19 patients in hospitals.
Since the start of the epidemic in Serbia, 470,941 cases of infection have been confirmed, while 4,491 people have died.
Epidemiologist Predrag Kon stated on March 3 that the epidemiological situation in Belgrade was catastrophic. He added that he would call for the closing down of all cafes and restaurants for at least seven days, at the meeting of the Crisis Headquarters for the fight against the coronavirus, which will be held on March 4 or 5.
