17 people died from the consequences of the coronavirus infection in Serbia in the past 24 hours, while 3,866 were newly infected.

According to the March 4 announcement on the web-site of the Health Ministry, there are 173 patients on ventilators, among the 4,508 people who are being treated in hospitals. Since the start of the epidemic in Serbia, 4,508 people have died and 474,807 have been infected.

Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic has stated that the number of vaccinated people in Serbia exceeded one million on March 4.

Brnabic stated in the interview to the Serbian Broadcasting Corporation (RTS) that 95 percent of those who have applied from priority groups had been vaccinated, and called on all people, regardless of their age, to apply for vaccination. She said that the number of infections had grown since the start of the vaccination because the people have relaxed and started disregarding the measures.
