Branislav Tiodorovic, a member of the COVID-19 Crisis Headquarters, said on April 9 that he anticipated the possibility of shopping malls opening early next week if epidemiology indicators continued to improve.

Letting pupils back into schools may be considered from April 19, Tiodorovic added, if the state of the epidemic, still an emergency, continues on a downward trend.

"Our COVID hospitals are still very full, still under pressure. If things continue at this pace, certain actions may be considered," Tiodorovic said after a session of the Crisis Headquarters.

Tiodorovic said there had been a slight dip in the number of newly infected and that the number of hospital discharges against admittances was rising. He said indoor hospitality industry venues could not open their doors yet, but that this would be considered if the situation improved further.
