32 Die From Coronavirus In Serbia, 7,628 Newly Infected

32 people died from the consequences of the coronavirus infection in Serbia in the past 24 hours, raising the total number of fatalities to 7,633, it was announced on Sept. 15.

According to figures of Serbia's Institute for Public Health, 26,008 people were tested in that period and the presence of the virus was confirmed in 7,628 cases. There are 3,621 covid patients currently being treated in hospitals, 167 of them on ventilators.

Since the start of the epidemic in Serbia, 5,316,382 people have been tested and 838,512 were positive for the virus.

Serbian Minister for Education Branko Ruzic stated on Sept. 15 that, according to latest figures, 0.5 percent of the total population of pupils in Serbia had switched to on-line tuition, because they are in quarantine or infected with the virus. Ruzic told Television Pink that 379 pupils in Belgrade currently have tuition on-line because of epidemiological measures and that the situation in schools was "far from being alarming."
