Forty-Three People Die of COVID-19 in Serbia, 5,389 Newly Infected

In the last 24 hours, 43 people died of COVID-19 in Serbia, while 5,389 new cases were registered, the authorities announced on Sept. 26.

The Serbian Ministry of Health reported on its covid19.rs website that 15,679 samples had been tested in the same time frame. Hospital care is being provided for 5,811 of all COVID patients, 217 of whom require assisted ventilation.

Since the beginning of the epidemic in Serbia, the disease has claimed 8,051 lives. The number of people infected since the outbreak of the epidemic in Serbia is 911,066 out of 5,554,717 tested samples.
