Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic stated on Dec. 1 that there were serious indications about a possible terrorist attack in Turkey and urged the Serbian citizens to be additionally cautious.

"It is our obligation, the obligation of state organs, to announce to the public the information that we receive from the security services... We have received information pertaining to serious indications about the possibility (of an attack). Nobody can know if it will happen or not, but my obligation is to inform the citizens about this," the Serbian foreign minister told the public broadcaster RTS.

He added that this did not mean that people should not go to Turkey at all.

"This is not a call for not going to Turkey at all, but one for caution in the next two weeks – to pay attention particularly if they stay in Ankara," Dacic stated in Lodz, Poland, where he is participating in the OSCE's ministerial meeting.
