Whether snap parliamentary elections will be held this December, or in January or February of 2024 is merely a technical issue, Milos Vucevic, the head of the Serbian Progressive Party, said on Aug. 14.

Vucevic, who is also minister of defense, told Prva TV that he is willing to discuss calling extraordinary elections with President Aleksandar Vucic.

The minister further stated he is “not ruling out” the possibility of holding a vote “before the end of the year or early next year.”
“If someone believes we’ve lost legitimacy, we’re prepared to put that to the test at the ballot box,” he said, adding that his party is prepared to discuss including any and all elections levels – state, provincial and local – in a “political package deal.”
