Ana Brnabic, the speaker of the Serbian parliament, said after meeting with the opposition on April 1 that the government could not accept the condition that all local elections be held on the same day, including the Belgrade vote, but had accepted demands about voting rosters and media outlets in principle.

As the opposition would not give up its third demand and gave until April 3 for its consideration, Brnabic said this was an ultimatum and that nothing would change by April 3, N1 reported.

According to her, the deadline for elections in Belgrade is June 2, while all other elections would be aggregated when the time comes.

"They said -- either all three demands or there's nothing to talk about. That is an ultimatum. I urge them to reconsider and to keep talking about the ODIHR recommendations," Brnabic said.
