April 18 marks the continuation of the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, which will again be focused on the unilateral decision of Kosovo’s central bank to abolish the use of the dinar in its territory.

The fifth round of talks on the matter will again be led by Petar Petrovic, the head of the Serbian Government’s Office for Kosovo and Metohija, and Pristina’s chief negotiator Besnik Bislimi.

European Union Special Envoy for the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue Miroslav Lajcak said on April 15 that he expects “both sides to come to the meeting with open minds, flexibility and oriented on finding solutions based on the ideas presented at the previous meetings.”

The last round of talks on Pristina’s abolishment of the payment transactions using dinars was held in Brussels in early April.
